How it works
Morning sets protein at 1.4 g per kilogram of body weight a day, the same number the app uses. It sits in the middle of the 1.2 to 1.6 g/kg range often used during weight loss, high enough to protect muscle and realistic on a small appetite.
Example: at 90 kg (198 lb), that is 126 g a day, or about 42 g at each of three meals.
Why it matters on a GLP-1
When appetite drops, protein is usually the first thing to fall short, and part of the weight that comes off can be muscle. Spreading protein across the day and starting meals with it are the two habits that help most.
Limits
If you have kidney disease, are pregnant, or have been told to limit protein, check your target with your clinician or a dietitian.
Questions
Should I use my current weight or my goal weight?
Morning uses your current weight, like the app. If you have a lot to lose, a clinician may suggest a lower reference weight.
What if I can't eat that much?
Start where you are and build up. Small, protein-first snacks and a shake count. Morning's Coach suggests gentle options from what you have left that day.
